Quality Systems Manager

We are looking for a very motivated person who is available part-time or can contribute as a consultant to come join us at GT Molecular!

The right candidate will report directly to the CEO while helping us build our Quality System and instill GMP for our expanding product line in cancer diagnostics. Our customers include CLIA labs, academic research Institutions and other environmental and industrial entities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and provide expertise to the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality department to successfully meet or exceed goals and targets for CE Mark, EUA, etc.

  • Provide the necessary leadership and strategic planning to develop, implement and maintain a quality assurance and quality control program to support the business mission and ongoing continuous improvement effort.

  • Formulates and oversees maintenance of quality control objectives and coordination with production procedures to maximize product quality.

  • Provide input and direction to resolve quality related issues through proper inspections, root cause analysis and corrective actions plans.

  • Assist as a key member of the team, with focus on quality planning for new products/processes.

  • Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.

  • 8+ years' experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing and/or production environment

  • Advanced knowledge of and application of Quality Systems Engineering

  • Excellent understanding of cGxP, customers, products, and regulatory compliance and requirements of FDA and ICH guidelines

  • Experience in preparation and managing quality controlled documents and quality systems

Technical Sales and Applications Support Lead

This is an great opportunity for the right person to significantly contribute to the success of a fast-growing start-up while educating customers about our novel assays for detecting harmful pathogens and assisting with cancer research.

This position requires the ability to hunt into new accounts and develop and maintain business within existing accounts.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Consultative selling and closing sales

  • Working with the GTM team to create superior go to market strategies using our unique digital and analytical solutions

  • Creatively prospecting for new accounts in a variety of industries

  • Engaging with customers on the phone and with a variety of social platforms

  • Assisting with the creation of marketing materials to promote GTM’s solutions

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field

Research Assistant

The Research Assistant position will be responsible for executing scientific research in the laboratory specifically related to monitoring COVID-19 in wastewater for cities and universities around the country.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize, conduct, and evaluate analytical results and testing.

  • Quantify viral RNA using droplet digital PCR

  • Maintain study documentation and laboratory records

  • Support the maintenance of a clean and safe laboratory work environment

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field.

  • This is a hands on position

  • Strong ability to learn is required

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Must be able to work in a laboratory setting.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts

Experience

  • Requires 1-2 years of scientific experience relevant to the technical area of responsibility.

  • Experience in BSL-2 work, preferred by not required

  • Experience in industry a plus, but not required

Bioinformatics Scientist

We have both a summer internship and a part-time position open. There is the potential to be full-time later on.

Desired skills and expertise:
• A solid understanding of algorithmic approaches to analyze genomic data as well as tools and genome databases. Candidates with working knowledge of genome editing and gene expression/function will be prioritized.
• Experience and interest in analyzing data generated by Next Generation Sequencing genomic applications.
• An understanding of the statistical principles, machine learning methods and current best practices in high-throughput molecular data analysis.
• Strong experience in the use of a high-level programming language such as R or Python for complex data analysis, familiar working in Linux and HPC compute environment.
