Production and Lab Testing Manager

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will play an important role in shaping and refining the company's growth. Our customers include CLIA labs, academic research Institutions and other environmental and industrial entities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up manufacturing and processes for PCR reagent and multiplex PCR kits to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Lead our Research Assistants and Manufacturing personnel to ensure SQDC goals are met both for our manufacturing and national wastewater testing services.

  • Working with our team to create superior, fast-turn production processes using our unique digital and analytical solutions.

  • Scheduling, planning and maintaining inventory to ensure on time delivery and cost metrics.

  • Working with subcontractors.

  • Assistance with GTM’s quality system.

  • Helping the company achieve ISO 13485 certification and subsequent production of molecular assays with 510k FDA clearance in a GMP environment.

  • Serving as a manufacturing representative and technical expert.

  • We can offer solid training in LEAN manufacturing for qualifying candidates.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or similar field. MS or Ph.D. is preferred.

  • Experience with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), ISO 13485 and QSR systems.

  • Proven success in a biotech manufacturing or biopharma production environment.

Preferred Background

  • Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly flexible manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in Oligo synthesis is a plus.

  • Experience in transitioning processes from R&D to a manufacturing setting.

  • Scheduling / planning / inventory control experience.

  • LEAN manufacturing experience or familiarization with its concepts.
