The GT RT-dPCR Delta Variant Mutational Signature 4-plex (Parental + B.1.617.2) assay kit is a molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, and controls for detection and discrimination of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern containing S-gene mutations 452R, associated with the Epsilon (California, B.1.427/B.1.429) variant and the family of variants first identified in India (B.1.617 group) , including the Delta (India, B.1.617.2) variant; and 478K, associated with the Delta (India, B.1.617.2) variant only. While this test does not quantify every mutation present amongst the lineages, it targets key mutations uniquely associated with the Delta variant. The kit includes one all-in-one primer probe solution and qualitative control sequences derived from GISAID accession numbers corresponding to the S-gene sequences of the Parental (Wuhan) strain, Epsilon (California, B.1.427/B.1.429) variant, Delta (India, B.1.617.2) variant, and a separate combined mixture of the three.
